North Central Hockey League
League Awards and All-Star Teams

The eight North Central Hockey League teams have voted on the year end awards and all-star selections and the results are in.

Braydon Nabholz of the Moosomin Rangers and Brock Nixon of the Russell Rams finished in a tie for the Doug Harrison Memorial Trophy presented to the league’s most valuable player.

Derek Falloon of the Rams was named most gentlemanly player and will be recognized with the Darryl Brown Memorial Trophy.

The top defenseman award went to Dillon Stonehouse of the Miniota-Elkhorn C-Hawks.

Tie Braun of the Waywayseecappo Wolverines earned rookie of the year honours.

The top scorer and team goaltending awards will be decided at the conclusion of the regular season.

Teams selected three all-star squads.

The first team consists of netminder Kyler Beckett (Moosomin), defensemen Dillon Stonehouse (Miniota-Elkhorn), Brett Hope (Russell), and forwards Brock Nixon (Russell), Braden Nabholz (Moosomin) and Jeremy Johnson (Langenburg).

Devon Dubnyk was chosen as the netminder for the second team. He is joined by defensemen Devron Stonehouse (Miniota-Elkhorn), Colin Paull (Virden), and forwards Taylor Sanheim (Miniota-Elkhorn), Kyle Fraser (Russell) and Derek Falloon (Russell).

The third team consists of Jerrod Auger (Russell), defensemen Brandon Masson (Virden), Kaine Morran (Grandview), and forwards Skylar Hladun (Langenburg), Joel Mateika (Swan Valley) and Jason Bowles (Miniota-Elkhorn).
