Senior Provincial New Format

Hockey Manitoba Senior Council has opted to try a new format for the 2019/2020 Senior “A” provincial Tournament featuring an East vs West Final.

The West will consist of the Tiger Hills Champion and the North Central Champion playing a best of 3 series with the winner advancing to the Final Game to be played at the Iceplex on April 4/2020. A similar series will be played in the East  between the South East and Carrillon Champions. It is hoped that this change will allow teams to have home game income and cut-down on travel.

INFORMATION :

1—Starting date Mar.26, Game 2 played Mar.28-29 and Final game April 1

2—Home teams will retain any profit “ after expenses are paid” eg. Ice costs,officials etc.

3—All Officials will be assigned by Harvey Nichol, Hockey Man.  Director of Officiating

4 –Games will be 4-man Officiating crews with fees to be confirmed

5—For this Season the Tiger and South East will have the extra game advantage , this will rotate next season

6 –All teams will provide their own warm-up pucks for all games

7— Gate receipts will be split between the two participating teams  after all expenses are paid following the Final Game (Apr.4)
